Daily Reminders
It is good to have daily reminders. They can be something that inspires or motivates but definitely something you choose to instil into your mind each day. Many people elevate their mood or the personal power of their mind by reading scriptures every day. Whether they choose to read a set amount, for instance, one verse or chapter, it inspires them to reach higher goals and they usually report a greater sense of peacefulness. Some people read alone, some in the morning and some at night, or both. Some people also read with their families and find doing this on a daily basis helps restore calmness and increases family unity. This is truly wise. Remember what you put in to your mind becomes you. Your thoughts become your words, become your actions. Many people believe that even our cells are altered by the thoughts, words and deeds of our daily life. Every day we are exposed to the noise of the world whether we want it or not. We can choose to reduce it, avoid it, or to counteract it and so regain our personal power. We then are being the creators of our lives. Using daily reminders, like scripture reading, reading uplifting and inspirational material and saying daily affirmations, is a good step towards counteracting the negative babble of the world. That also goes for what's around you. Some Feng Shui techniques as simple as creating organised spaces in you home may help also.A mess is noise, too! What colours are on your walls or used in your furnishings or decor? Are they pleasing to your? Do they calm you or aggravate you? Do you have a restful space where you can escape to be peaceful, undisturbed by harsh colours or clutter? Artwork can also be inspirational and thought provoking or add to a negative feelings just by not being harmonious to your space or the changes you are trying to affect in your life. Each negative input can be a daily reminder that takes you in the wrong direction. Assess your surroundings so you are aware of negative influences even if you can't change them right now. Then work to counteract them by superimposing your more positive thoughts on them.
As we decide to make changes and improvements in ourselves, we need to create our own support system. When we set goals, we want to continue to motivate ourselves. We might need a little spark from a daily reminder to pull our focus to the place we want it to be.
Following are just a few of the types of things you might want to say, read or even check off the list as a daily reminder. You may feel drawn to certain thoughts or words. Notice those and take pause to consider why you are pulled in that direction. They may give you some insight. Think about what the words or thoughts mean to you. Pray and ponder upon them.Choose one or two for each day or a few for the week and repeat them every day. Change them as often as you want. Alter them to fit your need by switching out words or by putting 2 or 3 together to form your own thought. These will become your new your Daily Readings or Reminders. Here are a few to start you off on the path to your new life!
